Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).

Financial Data

When you upload bank statements, paste transaction data, or connect your bank account via Open Banking (Salt Edge), we process your transaction history, account balances, merchant names, and payment amounts. This data is used solely to provide you with financial insights and analysis.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, including pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your credit card numbers or banking credentials on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our financial analysis services; generate personalized spending insights, subscription detection, and savings recommendations; process your transactions and identify recurring charges; communicate with you about your account and our services; and ensure the security and integrity of our platform.

4. AI and Data Processing

SaveFy uses artificial intelligence to analyze your financial data. Our AI processes your transaction data to categorize spending, detect subscriptions, identify suspicious charges, and suggest savings opportunities. All AI processing is performed on our secure servers, and we do not share your raw financial data with third-party AI providers. AI-generated insights are recommendations only and should not be considered financial advice.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal or financial data. We may share information with Stripe for payment processing, Salt Edge for Open Banking connections (only with your explicit consent), service providers who assist in operating our platform (under strict data protection agreements), and law enforcement when required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your financial data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can request deletion of your data at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal and financial data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), secure password hashing (bcrypt), regular security audits and penetration testing, and SOC 2 compliant infrastructure. While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), export your data in a portable format, object to data processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
