Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and SaveFy ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the SaveFy website, mobile applications, and all associated services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, clicking "Get Started", or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Service is not available in jurisdictions where it is prohibited by law.

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@savefy.app if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

SaveFy is a personal finance management tool. It enables you to:

• Connect bank accounts via Salt Edge (a third-party account aggregation service).
• Upload bank statements (PDF) or paste transaction data for analysis.
• View categorised spending, track budgets, and monitor net worth.
• Interact with an AI assistant for personalised financial insights.
• Manage subscriptions and recurring expenses.

Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Upload malicious files, malware, or attempt to compromise our systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Share your account credentials with third parties or resell access to the Service.
• Upload or transmit data you do not have the right to share.
• Use automated scripts to interact with the Service without our prior written consent.

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Salt Edge, Stripe, and AI model providers. Your use of these integrations is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

By connecting a bank account through Salt Edge, you authorise Salt Edge to access your account information on your behalf in accordance with PSD2 open-banking regulations (where applicable).

You retain ownership of all financial data, documents, and content you upload to the Service ("User Data"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store User Data solely to provide the Service.

All content, software, trademarks, and materials on the Service (excluding User Data) are owned by or licensed to SaveFy. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SAVEFY AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) €50.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SaveFy and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Data, or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Romania.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
